She was for ignoring the results before she was against it

I’ve been seeing lots of posts from Clinton supports (many of them on The Huffington Post) talking about how wrong it is that Barack Obama doesn’t want the Michigan and Florida voters to have their say (which is, it should be noted, a complete distortion of the facts). Chalk this up as another one of those selective amnesia moments. In the below video, Tim Russert points out that Clinton declared her support for the DNC rules that would ignore any elections that were held prior to those of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. So, before she won and needed those delegates and votes, it was fine, but now it’s not. Aren’t double standards fun?

This video gets bonus points for featuring my favorite member of the senate (yes, I have a favorite senator, I’m a dork), Dick Durbin.

Some odd trivia for you. Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin share a house with two other senator in Washington. Al Franken once talked about this living arrangement on his Air America radio show. He stayed with them for a bit with the intention of writing a sitcom based on their setup. I think we need to get Aaron Sorkin on that shit. I would totally watch it.
