John McSame – Progressive Media USA
It seems that when John McCain bothers to show up to vote in the Senate, he votes resounding in support of Bush policies. CQ shows that McCain has voted with bush 100% of the time in 2008, 95% in 2007, 89% in 2006, 77% in 2005, 92% in 2004, 91% in 2003, 90% in 2002 and 91% in 2001.
But remember: He’s a maverick.

FEC, media can’t handle Obama jackpot – Kenneth P. Vogel – Politico.com
A milestone of sorts was reached earlier this year, when Obama, the Illinois senator whose revolutionary online fundraising has overwhelmed Clinton, filed an electronic fundraising report so large it could not be processed by popular basic spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel 2003 and Lotus 1-2-3.
Those programs can’t download data files with more than 65,536 rows or 256 columns.
Gotta love that kinda news. Remember when Republicans used to beat the crap out of Democrats in fundraising?

Cliff Schecter » Is John McCain As Healthy As The Media Are Saying?
After Friday’s dump of medical records, all the reports seemed to be that, despite his history of melanoma, McCain was in good health. But what about this:
McCain’s most recent exams show a range of health issues common in aging: He frequently has precancerous skin lesions removed, and in February had an early stage squamous cell carcinoma, an easily cured skin cancer, removed. He had benign colon growths called polyps taken out during a routine colonoscopy in March.

Think Progress » In 2000, McCain joked that he’d be too old to run for president in 2008.
LEHRER: Finally for the record, you have not lost your desire to be President of the United States have you?
McCAIN: Certainly it’s been put in deep cold storage. haha..
LEHRER: You haven’t lost it?
McCAIN: Well, in 2004, I expect to be campaigning for the reelection of President George W. Bush, and by 2008, I think I might be ready to go down to the old soldiers home and await the cavalry charge there.

McCain Leads! (In Missed Votes) – Capitol Briefing
In the wake of his highly publicized (especially here – heh) absence on the 2008 GI bill vote, news emerges that John McCain has missed more Senate votes than both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. McCain has missed 60% of the votes, Obama 41.8% and Clinton 31.7%.
Aside from beating his fellow presidential candidates, McCain has missed more votes than any other senator, including South Dakota Democrat Tim Johnson, who suffered a brain hemorrhage in late December and did not return to the Senate for several months (he missed 53.9% of the votes).
One would think that, since John McCain is the presumptive nominee and Clinton and Obama have been running their primary race much longer than he would have much more of an opportunity to show up for votes. Apparently not.
