Ellen DeGeneres faces off against McCain on gay marriage
This a little old (it aired last week), but I feel it’s worth sharing for anyone who hasn’t seen it. For me, I’ve always noticed that it’s a lot easier for people to be opposed to gay marriage because, quite frankly, they don’t know any gay people and haven’t been put in the position of having to look a gay person in the eye and essentially tell them that they deserve less rights than straight people. Well Ellen DeGeneres forced John McCain to do just that and she did it masterfully.
Very interesting segment. I have a lesbian friend who would enjoy seeing this clip.
