At last

Obama has finally earned the title of “Presumptive Democratic Nominee.” And to prove it he got a scathing speech delivered by John McCain pointed in his direction.

Welcome to the general election, folks. It’s been a long time coming. And now it’s time for round two. You can call me naive, but I think this one’s going to be a lot easier for him because the policy difference are much clearer and McCain’s are so obviously flawed.

I’m excited. I think this going to be really good for our country.

Congratulations Senator Obama, you ran hard and you ran well and you reaped the benefits. And to Senator Clinton, you ran hard (and, if I may be blunt, not nearly as well) and while I’ve been displeased with your campaign at many points, you have done much for the party and the country and I’m glad you were able to go out tonight with a win in South Dakota. I look forward to seeing you put the energy and passion you’ve shown in this campaign into your Senate career or wherever the future may take you. We are a lucky party to have been given such a choice between the two of you.

Obama should be concerned with Clinton supporters going towards McCain.
