Pizza for the troops
As a Chicagoan that has the luxury of getting deep dish pizza delivered to my door until 5am in the morning, I support this effort resoundingly.
No, seriously. This is cool. I sent out care packages to soldiers a few years back and the notes of thanks I got were so appreciative. Things like this matter a lot. We forget how many things that they can’t get there that we take for granted. Who doesn’t love a big pile of cheese, right?
Retired Air Force Sgt. Mark Evans wanted to send a taste of Chicago to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
So he’s doing it deep-dish pizza-style.
