A Wonderfalls character on Pushing Daisies? Be still my heart!
Mary Ann Marie Beetle, a character from the “Muffin Buffalo” episode of “Wonderfalls,” will turn up in a season-two episode of ABC’s “Pushing Daisies,” series mastermind Bryan Fuller told the ComicCon crowd Saturday.
This makes me happy. I loved me some Wonderfalls (available on DVD, go Netflix it now, GO!). It was quirky, it was fun, it was slightly surreal…a lot like creator Bryan Fuller’s newest show, Pushing Daisies. Fuller has revealed plans to send a character from an episode of Wonderfalls, who was played by the wonderful character actress Beth Grant, for a visit to Ned’s Pie Hole. But while Ms. Beetle’s arrival is something for any Wonderfalls fan to be happy about, an even more giddy-inducing tidbit is that Fuller stated he would love to have the show’s snarky main character Jaye Tyler pop up on Daisies, as well. Of course it would be an interesting crossover of TV universes considering that Daisies lead Ned is played by Lee Pace, the same actor that played her brother.
But we can jump off that bridge when we come to it.
Other news from the ComicCon panel is that David Arquette has been cast in a new role. Between him on Daisies and his wife and Scrubs that Hollywood couple is certainly making some good post-Dirt choices.
