Where have I been?
I know, I know. I have been a very absent and a very bad blogger. I feel great shame when I see that it’s been more than a month since I’ve written anything here. However, I have not be wholly absent from the Internets in that time. I’ve actually been doing a little blogging at my day job, so I thought I’d point your way to some of those things, while I try to get a little caught up on what I feel like filling this blog up with:
- Bored at Work: Blast Cheney back to hell – Check out Comedy Central’s new Flash game where your goal is send Dick Cheney home.
- Battlestar Galactica: Warming up for tomorrow night – My discussion of the BSG webisodes in anticipation of the show’s premiere.
- Twittering Tara – Diablo Cody’s going to be live-tweeting her new show. Check out the details.
- Bored at Work: You’re getting sleeeeeepy – My medicine for a crabby day.
- Bored at Work: Save the bacon – The best thing to happen to a game of hangman in at least a little while.
- Bored at Work: WoWza! – Felicia Day’s web series, The Guild, has returned for a second season and it’s got a new home.
Every Friday should bring with it a new Bored at Work post from me at the TOC blog, so if you’re looking for ways to kill time on the web, you should check it out regularly, because I’ll be there (feel free to give me tips on things you think I should cover there, as well, I’m game). In addition, I’ll also be recapping the final ten Battlestar Galactica episodes there the first weekday after the show airs, you’ll be able to find those here.
I’m still hashing out what this greater web presence elsewhere is going to mean for this space. I’ll still likely discuss politics here, though the end of the election has left me a bit uninspired, we’ll see how that progresses as the new administration starts up next week (huzzah!). In addition, I think I’ll also be chatting about film stuff here, as the TOC blog already has a couple of very bright and awesome film writers whose toes I would never want to step on. I’m planning on writing a nice fat 2008 in review film post since I’ve seen a good deal of the movies I think are worth seeing this year (I think, at most, there’s only ten left I have yet to see). There might be a smattering a TV stuff here and there, but there’s a possibility that that might migrate over to TOC.
So, I’ll try to be good about keeping this blog alive and (somewhat) interesting. I hope you’ll also keep an eye at the Time Out Chicago blog for my posts there (as well as all the other brilliant voices that appear there) and you also keep an eye on my Twitter stream for my random 140-character nonsense. Thanks for reading!
