Me on The Rotten Tomatoes Show
I’m insanely tardy on this because, well, I just fail. But I’m posting it here now, so that’s cool, right? Anyhoo, I don’t know if you’ve heard of The Rotten Tomatoes Show, but it’s this quirky, funny movie review show that airs on Current (Al Gore’s network), in addition to being available on Hulu and as a podcast on iTunes.
In addition to the two hosts of the show sharing their thoughts and opinions on the lastest movie releases, the show also cuts in webcam reviews from Current users, like myself. I’m happy to report that on my second try, they accepted me! You can see three bits of me commenting on Zombieland (which was ridiculously fun, by the way). I’m the chick with the curly hair and blue sweatshirt sitting in front of a white board…it does also identify me by name, Jessica Johnson, and username, witchyflickchick. I’ve definitely learned that in the future I need to truncate my punchlines a little better, as I’m sorry to say that all the stuff I recorded that was pretty funny ended up on the cutting room floor. I’m not complaining, though, it was super-cool to see myself on TV and they gave me money for it, too. So I guess it’s official: I am now a paid film critic. HA!
This is definitely something I’ll continue to do in the future and I’ll try to be better about notifying my loyal blog audience BEFORE it happens and not two weeks after.
